Terms of Use

Mastery™: The Intentional Educator Pilot

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These terms apply to the Momentum Map™ tool and masteryeducator.com during the Mastery pilot. By using the tool, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the tool.

The pilot

Mastery is an early-stage product in active pilot. The Momentum Map is free to use during the pilot. There is no payment, no subscription, and no obligation to continue.

Because this is a pilot, the tool will change. Features may be added, altered, or removed as we learn what teachers need. We may pause or end the pilot, and we will give participating teachers reasonable notice if we do.

Your account

You sign in with your email address. Please use an address you control, and do not share your sign-in codes with anyone else.

You are responsible for what you enter into your Momentum Map.

What you write stays yours

You own what you write in your Momentum Map. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You give us permission to store and display your content so the tool works, and to use it as described in our Privacy Policy: to improve the product and to publish summaries of what the pilot group tried and noticed, with names removed.

Please do not enter student information

The Momentum Map asks what you noticed in your students. Please answer without naming students or including details that could identify a specific child. Use initials or a description of what happened instead.

Mastery is not designed to hold student records, and you should not use it for that purpose.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Attempt to access another teacher's Momentum Map or account

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or break into the tool or its database

  • Use the tool for anything unlawful

  • Upload content that infringes someone else's rights

We may suspend access for any of the above.

AI features

The Momentum Map includes AI assistance that suggests edits to what you have written. These are suggestions. You decide what to keep. AI output can be wrong or unhelpful, and you should use your own professional judgment about your teaching and your students.

Mastery's materials

The Momentum Map™, the Learning Playlist™, the Mastery™ name, and the materials on masteryeducator.com belong to Mastery. You are welcome to use the Momentum Map in your own teaching practice and to share it with colleagues. Please do not resell it, or present it as your own work, without our permission.

No warranty

The tool is provided as is. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of errors, or that your content will never be lost. Please keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose. The Momentum Map has a print and download option for this purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Mastery is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the tool, including lost content or lost time. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Professional judgment

Mastery offers a structure for improving teacher practice. It does not provide professional, legal, or educational advice for any particular situation. Decisions about your teaching and your students remain yours.

Changes to these terms

We will update these terms as Mastery develops and will change the date at the top. For significant changes affecting pilot participants, we will email you.
